Santa at the Pavilion: A Reunion Tradition That Never Loses Its Magic

Every year when the holidays roll in, there are a few moments that remind us why Reunion is such a special place to call home. Santa’s annual visit to the Pavilion is definitely one of them.

The Pavilion felt like a little Christmas postcard come to life. The fireplace was glowing, the garland was hung just right, and the whole place smelled like fresh beignets floating through the air. We had warm hot cocoa ready for anyone who needed a little something sweet while they waited for the big moment.

And then Santa arrived.

He took his usual spot by the fireplace and, just like he always does, made time for every single child. Some walked right up with their lists in hand ready to chat. Others stared at him in total awe, barely whispering their wishes. A few were absolutely terrified of the big guy, which gave their parents those classic Christmas photos that get pulled out year after year. Even a handful of pets made their way over to say hello, and Santa didn’t miss a beat.

Parents, grandparents, friends and neighbors gathered around, visiting with each other, snapping photos, and soaking in one of those simple Reunion traditions that feels both timeless and effortless. No lines. No crowds. No stress. Just families enjoying a quiet, magical evening together right here in their own neighborhood.

It’s nights like this that remind us how lucky we are to be part of a community that celebrates the season in such a warm and meaningful way. Here’s to another memorable Santa visit and to many more years of Christmas magic at the Pavilion.
